The last wedding we did before lockdown!
IT’S BEEN TOO LONG
I really miss working. I miss marrying people on the beach. I miss taking photographs. I miss the happy atmosphere. I don’t miss the bridezillas, though – haha! They can stay quarantined!
All joking aside, the last wedding our company did was back in March, and since then everyone has been on some form of government assistance. Hawaii got hit hard because tourism came to a standstill, but now, there is at least a small glimmer of hope on the horizon.
Starting August 1st, tourists who test negative, 72 hours before hopping on the plane to Hawaii, can vacation here. I’m not sure if babies need to be tested as those details were not leaked yet, but I would assume they would have to be. What does this mean to you? Well, that there is a path to getting married in Hawaii this year. You still run the risk of getting a positive result before you travel, but if you’re willing, there’s a way.
Now, how you will get tested, I don’t know. The process is different in every state. Some states, you need to have symptoms. Some clinics have a fee, some don’t. I do know that it is much easier to get tested than before. A Hawaii lab is on the verge of creating a 5-minute spit test. This seems VERY promising. That should be available on August 1st, so not too far away.
Also, there is a viable cure that will be available in September or October. Follow this link to some very exciting news
Keep your heads up peeps! We’re at the tail-end of all this nonsense.
